There use to be regional offices for alumni activities, or at least there was one on the west coast to coordinate things happening out here. It seems that a staff person located in San Francisco or Los Angeles could be effective in getting more programming going.
I would say that the ASC groups and Clubs ARE the regional offices already. Rather than start yet another layer of organization, work to support the groups already in place.

This idea cropped up in several breakouts -- it was thought that regional offices or regional staff reps based at AYA could help clubs, classes, G&P and shared interest groups all develop better, more consistent programming with modest resources from the mother ship.
