Tape Yale's great lecture courses and put them online for direct viewing by alumni.
This already exists to a certain degree through AllLearn: http:// www.alllearn.org/ (note there are three L's), which is a joint project of Yale Standford and Oxford universities.

There could (should?) be a charge for these. It's a fund-raiser and a more accurate way of evaluating demand than a free lectures would be.
