  • Broadband access [P0008]

The adoption of broadband internet technology is proceeding at a snail's pace in the U.S., hampering the growth of online businesses. Part of the problem is that broadband access usually costs much more than dail-up. How can we get more people connected?

  • Database of Laws to Function [P0072]

It seems to me that most people on the street do not know what law applies to them. Something that seems so natural, after all, why not have them publicly and easily available so each one knows their own rights and duties???

  • hello ................. [P0095]

hello ...my prob is tat ..no one visit my website will u visat it ??? -www.freewebs.com/dare2cum

  • Ipods [P0096]

I just want to know if anyone knows how to transfer song files from limewire to my itunes software. Some of the files transfer themselves, and others don't. I just want to get all of the songs into my itunes account.

  • Staying awake on long trips [P0007]

Many car accidents result from drivers who fell asleep behind the wheel. What's the best way to keep this from happening?

  • Alt. Energy for Macy's Parade [P0119]

Why are the floats at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade not powered with alternative energy sources?

They run at slow, constant speeds, for a relatively short time. Their large weight could be moved by diesel engines, which would run with biodiesel fuel.

The big picture, however is the obvious reason for petitioning this idea. The Parade would be an example, showing the public that alternative energy is here, and there is an application for it. Moreover, the Parade (or NBC and CBS, which broadcast it) would benefit from positive, clean energy based advertising.

  • A better, cheaper 1411 service [P0066]

I want to know what you smart people think about having (for a small monthly fee such as $5-10 per number) an information service that you can call.

This service would provide you with unlimited usage and would offer a telephone number search service (just like the current 1411 service) as well as movie locations and times, restaraunts, entertainment listings, hours of operations of businesses and other similar services including quick internet searches.

This would be a better option to the $1.25 per call 1411 service that is currently available.

Would you sign up for something like this? Give me total feedback on this please.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • How can we better communicate [P0042]

An idea in one person's head must first be approximated by an imperfect communications means (language, art, etc) before it can be transmitted to someone else where it is reconstructed as an idea in their head.

First, how can we improve communication to cause the reconstructed idea to be as accurate as possible? (right now, when communicating amongst ourselves)

Second, considering that the meaning of words and the words themselves are changing, how can we best document and save our current knowledge so that it can make the best sense to future generations? (communicating with the distant future)

  • Reduce speeding [P0019]

What is the best way to reduce speeding on the highways?

  • Spam [P0006]

How can we stem the flood of unwanted, fraudulent, and obscene e-mail that flows into our inboxes every day?
