  • bike power!! [P0125]

What if you put a generator on your bike wheels to create enough energy to maybe tell you your heart rate or accomplish other nifty tasks. If you are biking for exercise why not?

  • Proposing via the Web [P0081]

How can I use the web to pop the question to my girlfriend? There have been a lot of "off-line" proposals (like skywriting or proposing on the Jumbotron during a sporting event). I want a creative "online" proposal.

  • wireless tecnology [P0144]

can we create 230volt 50hz supply wirelessly and use this energy to run our home appliances.Such that we does not requir electric poles and underground cables and transformers to transport electricity from station to our home. And there is receipter at home which checks the amount of electricity used and also convert this EM electricity into wired electricity.

  • whynot.net facebook app? [P0140]

I mean come on. ;) whynot?

  • Car Headlights [P0005]

Countless car batteries have succumbed to the carelessness of car owners who leave their headlights on. What's the best way to tackle this problem?

  • energy source [P0113]

Why not harvest energy of ocean currents to power generators may be with a large submersible, similar to a submarine, operating within a cylindrical unit. I have studied the problems with tide energy, and the low efficiency is because of the need to pull the axis out of the water, due to present generators tecnology, but submarines do not need to do so, and it could be anchored and have aileron to mantain altitud, kind of a satellite. Ocean current could make the project economically feasible.

  • Life Expectancy Adjustment. [P0118]

We have COLAs--Cost of Living Adjustments, why don't we have a LEA--Life Expectancy Adjustment? We adjust congressional districts based on the decennial census. Should we adapt social security benefits to bring it in line with reality? Shouldn't we also bring mandatory retirement ages into alignment? e.g. US airline pilots are forced to relinquish control after their 60th birthday regardless of health or life expectancy. In a meritocracy, is that fair and just? Certain government jobs (e.g. FBI agent) have a maximum age for eligibility. Why not have decennial reassessments and adjustments, if necessary, to the nearest year. (e.g. if the maximum age is 35 in 1990, maybe it can be adjusted to 36 in 2000 if the census supports such an adjustment)?

  • Saxo [P0070]

My Citroen Saxo 1.1 is idling erraticly can anyone tell me why.It has only done 25,000 miles on a W Plate

  • Movie theater competition [P0105]

A publicly owned movie theater needs ideas how to draw viewers and compete against the big chain theaters of the city. Premises are not new and it has chosen to show less popular films that do not reach the other theaters, e.g. "more artistic" European films. Subconscious demand for this type of cinematic experience probably exists, but how to lure it out?

Particularly interesting would be those ideas that could reinvent the whole movie-going experience - thus these ideas could be applied in the realm of private ownership as well. Such could be e.g. a short intro by staff about the film, creating a fine classic environment with clever interior decoration, perhaps club-membership type of revenue stream etc. Would these work? Any other good ideas out there?
