Alarm clocks are still manufactured the way they were manufactured before the computer.

I suggest (and would buy) a truly programmable alarm clock. In which you can program different waking up times for different days of the week. Programming different waking up times for vacations. Also I suggest the possibility of having the alarm clock go off more than once a day.

All in all, I suggest an alarm clock which has similar functionalities to MS Outlook. It would be even better, if you actually could syncronize it with your MS Outlook, if you so choose

Or put your computer by your bed.

Just use MS outlook if that's what you want.

You can easily set whatever sound you want as the alarm.

Cool idea. How about adding a mp3 player and usb port in the alarm clock so you can decide by what tunes you are woken up?

I wonder if you could just use the idea of Internet telephony and your PC's scheduling agent to have your PC place a phone call to the phone next to your bed, and leave the ringer set to Loud...:)

I use my notebook. My pocket PC also does it. Most of these Ideas will be incorperated into convergence devices via software in the very neer future. It's all set for takoff. So start coding.

Make it wireless so that using simple software on your computer you can program the alarm. You could even make the alarm behave differently at different times. It could ease you up on the weekends and jarr you up on workdays.
