I'd like to know who's tracking an idea. If even the author has stopped, it's a deader. On the other hand, if a lot of people track it, even though there aren't so many postings, it's still kickin'.

How about listing how many people are tracking it and then you might click on the number to see who they are. Or, would that be viewed as an invasion of privacy? The first part of the suggestion has now been implemented.

Now that what I call service! Actually, I think that it would not be an invasion of privacy to disclose who tracks an idea, who voted yes or who voted it down. I presume that we are all adults here – and if we are willing to have our ideas and opinions dissected by others, then we should not shy away from a little praise or criticism. In fact, I think this might make the site more active!

Of course there will be cases where people get irate or say stuff that could hurt others, but that is the risk we run by being human. I think that we will be better off served by the transparency than by keeping this information from others. If someone misuses the system, you can always pull that person’s membership.

Wow, THANKS! It's fine as is, although knowing who's tracking might help form "salons" of people with similar interests -- if you want that to happen.

Still, thanks -- I like it.
