Are you sick off being 4th or lower in the car radio listneing pecking order. If it's not wheels on the bus or grand old duke of york then it's your wife's cd's and all you want to do is know the football results. Car manufacturers should supply in car audio systems that provide multi mode output.I can pick up my channels in my speaker next to my ear or in the head rest, my wife ditto and the kids their own. Then we are a fully modern non-communicating nuclear family to boot.PS I'm from England so some of you guys over the pond in the colonies may not recognise the songs or know what proper football is.

My brother, many built-in system come with dual mode outputs. I've never seen more then two. Ours is just above the basic level and it has two.
When we drive a couple of hours to visit family, we usually go at night so the kids can sleep. I just plug in my headphones to the rear seats jack and enjoy the Dave Mathews Band.
See, here in the 'States, since we drive on the correct side of the road, the car manufactures trust us with dual output systems. :-)
Teach your kids a couple of new ones...
"Sally the Camel""99 Bottles of {Pop|Beer|whatever} on the Wall""I Wish I Were""Fish and Chips and Vinegar"
and one that's fun for the whole family,
"Boom-Chick-A-Boom"
A couple of them can be found here.
The idea makes sense but it seems to me that at some point someone will want theirs louder and then this person will want theirs louder then somebody else will turn up...and so on where eventually it will all clash and sound horrific... So I'm not so sure... =/
