Digital Cameras have an unwelcome side effect for people with children – they cost you an arm and a leg in print cartridges. It would be nice if there were a piece of software allowing one to put some sort of quota on individual usage.

It is much cheaper to print at a store, and you get a higher quality product. That, or hide the printer cord.
Most modern printers and operating systems (especially those to be used in a corporate environment) already come with "print quota" features limiting a particular user from printing more than x pages in y amount of time. Do a Google for "print quotas" and I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for. Cheers!
