Looks like a square foot of cotton, but beneath the cotton is baby/foot powder. Stand and step on the pad and it freshens up your feet and toes before you put your shoes and socks on. It'll make everything feel fresher -- not to mention ease the communal pain upon removing said shoes and socks.
