Create a P2P network (and Open Source software to go with it) which is 100% accountable as to what is on it. It would work just like the original Napster, where the single accountable company maintains a list of song files. The difference being that the songs are only from artists who either don't have a problem with their songs being shared or they actually want their songs to be shared. This would serve as a great proof of concept for a legal and ethical workaround for the current music industry model as documented by DownhillBattle.org.

I've long been a believer in the honor system. Putting your work out there and allowing people to share it is the best distribution system. If only there were a good system in place that would make it easy for us to 'tip' the artists after we enjoyed their work. We are beginning an era where the RIAA and MPAA are about to crumble as their need evaporates. Power to the people!
