Set up a service and auction community like ebay's that would let people rent and rent out their entertainment collections that are sitting there collecting dust at market prices. Collection owners could send their list of dvds, books, cds, etc available for rent to this company and they would log, manage, and store. In essence the company would create more space for users and act as a storage company also. The collection owners would always own their collections and could get them back at any time. When a renter goes to the auction site, bids and wins the company will pack and ship with prepaid return envelope. The company will take a service fee from each rental just like ebay and charge a small monthly member fee to cover shipping and other operational cost. There would be no problems of damaging property because everyone is held accountable just like ebay. Would take some heavy investment and effort to start but it's possible...I'm sure some of you can think of other items that people put in storage or are just sitting there that could be rented out.
