Tangle Free Cords | |||||||||||||||||
Rather than securing cords by using cable ties, etc, why not build the cords such that they can attach to themselves in a similar manner to Velcro hook and loop material? This would allow: * cords to be coiled/bunched up without the need for 'twisties' to keep them together. * cables to be bundled together without the need for cable ties. Self attaching cords would be ideal in applications where the cord is frequently stowed and deployed such as: * The power cords for electrical appliances * Mobile phone microphone/earpiece leads * Music player headset leads * Portable electronic device power leads * Data cables e.g. patch leads The cords can be economically manufactured using extrusion processes. Diagrams illustrating suitable designs can be found at http://www.iconic.com.au/cable.
