Trade access | |||||||||||||||||
A living animal comprises all sorts of systems for maintaining itself but one of the most vital system is the blood system which brings necessities to each living cell and removes waste. The economic analog to this system is the transportation system of the world along which goods and services move to nurture the economics of each section. Where a nation has a seacoast there is easy access to other nations so endowed but there are many nations such as those in Africa which are blocked from freely moving their goods and services by having no access to free transportation. If there were established an international system of roads and waterways along the borders of all nations controlled by an international organization it would free up a tremendous potential for production and innovation in landlocked nations. Obviously this would be difficult to accomplish and access to the international system would require a system of reasonable tolls for maintenance and strict supervision to prevent corruption but it should benefit all nations by taking advantage of what can be done.

Anybody have any idea how many wars would be fought over border disputes?
I didn't say it would be easy.
Rail transportation is the most economic form of moving people and cargo on the Aftican continent. If politics wasn't an issue, Africa could be an economic powerhouse...
Not gonna happen.
