We have all stared at the airphones in front of our airline seat and probably thought, "that will cost an arm and a leg to use!" So you don't use it, even though you might sort of need to. But why not enable people who know your flight number and seat number (or maybe just your name) to call YOU. Then THEY would pay for the call. Or it might be an emergency, and your spouse or office has to get in touch with you. It might be a bit complicated to set up, but the airline's computers should know exactly where you are, in which plane, and which phone is in front of you.
