As an economist, imperfect information and transaction costs are among the things that most bother me. And while I like this site a lot, I think that WhyNot.net should also offer private boards to large corporations and non-profit institutions so that they might be able to increase the flow of ideas within their own organizations. The reality is that many of the suggestions that employees would make for their organizations go unheard, lacking a responsive forum for discussion. Also, many of the specific ideas that people might have about such organizations are fairly specific, and would be of little interest to the general WhyNot.net community (who would likely not know enough about the specifics of the organization to comment on the ideas). Just a thought.
