Why not have someone read and record in MP3 format the content of a website? You could then download to an MP3 player and listen to it on the bus, in the car, while cutting the lawn, etc. Advertisers could pay for 20-30 second spots (similar to radio) to finance this service. I would make the software only download to MP3 player the information that changed since the last time you downloaded (similar to RSS feeds). This would be an efficient way to keep updated with websites when internet is not available/not possible.

Someone is ahead of me! There is a program that will do this. It's called TextAloud MP3 Documents, Web Pages, Email spoken Aloud or to MP3.
