Inspired by this idea, how about a recording suite of devices? The whole thing would transfer most of its data through Bluetooth.

Start with a small CompactFlash hard drive. Run it off a battery That's your base piece that sits on your belt. For secure communications, use a loop of wire.

Next, we'll take a digital camera. Before you take pictures with it, you place its inductive loop next to the hard drive's. The hard drive will give the digital camera an authentication code and encryption key. Whenever you take a picture, the camera will authenticate over Bluetooth, and data will be transferred encrypted.

Next, we'll take a microphone. Add a DSP, Bluetooth and enough processing power to handle the authentication and encryption.
