I love roller coasters, the bigger the better. How about a miles long coaster built at a ski resort? It should have a HUGE first drop, and while it would be a long climb up to the top, it would be worth it; no more than on a ski run. The total descent could be several thousand feet depending on the area. With ups and downs, it could be a long ride, and would make standing in a long line worth it (unlike at parks like Cedar Point where I was in line 2.5 hours for a 90 second ride....never again!). Tunnels could be drilled to go through to add to the excitement. I think it would make the resort a tremendous worldwide attraction, and would be open in the summer when there is no skiing. Here's a name for it: "The Fall Line".

Although I am not amused by roller coasters, I can see the potential in this idea. But perhaps it is too timid. Mt Everest might make a great starting point or, perhaps, when it becomes technically feasible, the top of the space elevator.
Most theme parks make money because they have many rides. If you have only one ride, the profits go down. So, if someone actually built this, a single ticket would cost a lot of money and since everyone in the park would be going on one ride, the lines would be horrendously long. It would be much better if you could buy tickets and book a place in the line online.
I LOVE ROLLERCOASTERS AND IF THIS THING IS MADE I'LL GO ON IT EVERY WEEK!!!
