Need: More low cost video content. Reality TV gets this out of low cost talent. It has moved up from eating worms to The Apprentice and American Idol. Being fired is a lot like eating worms, but more realistic. Now here's another show idea:

People know they could make commercials better than the ones they see on TV. So give them a chance. You invite commercials on products that will pay for placement. Invite submissions from schools that teach advertizing. If you want to string it over a season, you cover the prep meetings. (Do it cheap at universities. Hire their video jouirnalism students to do the coverage.) The prep meetings, of course, provide lots of product coverage. Have a panel to evaluate, rate, comment on the final commercial. Have the teams in the studio to be mortified (somebody has to eat worms). Let the vierwers e-vote on the commercials and on the panel members. Audience gets to pick a panel member who gets the "Your Fired" clip from Trump.

Somebody might want to pitch this to A&E, Bravo, or the Discovery Channel.

I'm waiting around for a sitcom about a reality show. Has that been done yet. There's got to be tons of material there for making fun of America's favorite television genre. It could be called "UnReal World" or something stupid like that. Actually, I'm not really waiting around for a sitcom like this. I watch so little TV I don't even realize this has probably already been done.
