BizzBeats | |||||||||||||||||
[excuse me for my Anglais, je suis français]. Forget Yoga relaxation courses, forget masseurs, forget powernaps, forget escort girls, here come the BizzBeats. Research has pointed out that in order to prevent burnout and to reduce stress, two to three 20 minute drum sessions per week have fantastic effects (reducing stress and burnout levels with anywhere between 30 and 50%). Moreover, drum sessions are excellent for team building and/or for exposing the hidden sides of your collegues (Mr Accountant, who's widely perceived as being a bore, suddenly appears to be less stiff than we all thought). Add the fact that collective drum sessions boost motivation and self-confidence. Drum circles create simple, primeval and subconscious connections between people. Recently I've read that two burned out Dotcom barons are now starting a Yoga chain in the U.S., with the same purpose in mind. My idea is to create a BizzBeats chain, which I think has just as much potential. The BizzBeats are fun because the team of experienced drummers comes to your workplace (anywhere will do: the basement, the cafetaria). They arrive in their bright yellow minivans loaded with drums, create a circle, and off you go.

Great idea. Make a reality TV show of the whole thing. Biz Beats to a Different Drummer! I want to see this in IBM.
If they introduced drum circles to the work place, I'd be in heaven. Usually, my drumming on surfaces at work annoys my colleagues, so an arranged drum circle would definitely be a great thing.
I drum for two or three hours a day (more if I have a particularly uneventful day), and it clears my head of stress so much you wouldn't believe.
I want to see this in Pebtagon and white house, specially as long as its Bushy.
