While I'm sure there are companies out there who'd like to implement and market some of these ideas, there still lies the problem of attribution. From a business perspective, it wouldn't exactly be a conservative move to credit the minds behind your products, especially any product that makes you popular.

People who post ideas should be able to choose a specific Creative Commons license for each idea. That way, those who merely want to see an idea come to fruition can leave out the attribution requirement, thus making the adoption of their ideas more likely.

(That doesn't mean they won't still get attribution, though. Any reporter could search WhyNot to determine if a hit product was its parent company's original idea.)
