What better partners could there be, Tivo and hotel chains. For example, Hilton Hotels could make an agreement with Tivo to put Tivo in all of their hotels. I have Tivo at home and find myself wanting to rewind the radio in the car, and more importatnly, the TV in the hotel. This would increase business for the Hotel, would expose Tivo to people that have never used it before, and in turn increase Tivo sales as well. Obviously there would have to be a system in place that would reset the Tivo unit when a guest checks out, it would not be that difficult to put in place.

This seems like a natural choice for any hotel seeking to offer or upgrade its video-on-demand service (I know many chains have been offering VOD for quite some time).

In the future, it gets even better, as with explosions in broadband capability, you should be able to access programs that you TIVO'd at home while you're on the road, and vice versa!

Great idea! How about letting me log onto the hotel Tivo account before I leave home and set up programs to record. When I arrive (late) at the hotel after traveling, I can watch the programs I missed during my travel.

Tivo is obsolescent. Cable companies, Charter and Comcast, for example, are starting to offer Video On Demand as part of their cable service. They cache their content. You can get a replay of anything recent. Now available in just a few places, it will be widely available soon. It is their answer to Dish Network.

I put a big second to Kevin Ciotta's idea -- if I could log in before I arrive and queue up programs to record for my arrival, it would be wonderful. Tivo offers this option to its customer for your home machine so the technology is there. And it doesn't have to be the Tivo brand -- and DVR would do until full on-demand of all programming is available on the road.

How about a "Bring a Book" program instead? Or, a "Meet me in the lobby for a beer" program?

Gosh, just what the world needs, better ways to help people get in more TV.

Sorry, this one really irks me. I think the entertainment biz has enough R&D funds, and enough access to our brains. Let's not help them, eh?
