I use RSS feeds for most of my news. I can select the categries I want (science, technology, etc.). Somebody (mainly Yahoo) aggregates news from AP, Reuters, etc. They send me the headlines and I pick the items I want to read. As a well-adapted American consumer, I am pleased but never satisfied. I see a lot of hypernews in those feeds. The topic of flu shots comes to mind as a current example.

So now I want a hypefilter that lets me specify common news subjects to be exluded for my RSS feeds or from my home page (such as MyYahoo). Yahoo or Google could even use the hypefilter to generate another news category: most frequently filtered topics. Call it Readers' Revenge.
