Clovis? If you are not from eastern New Mexico - then you are probably thinking "What is a Clovis?", I don't blame you. Clovis - is a city of about 37,000 people, and it is located very close (about 5 miles) to the border of Texas. Clovis is a great town, a progessive town, and a town that is currently undergoing a great amount of growth. Low cost of living, moderate temperatures, and extremely friendly people - are just a few of the things that make our town so attractive.

When anything grows, there is normally a certain amount of growing pains involved - thus the initiative for establishing this category. We want to use the "WhyNot Formula" to focus specifically on a our community. To establish the issues that directly affect the growth and success of Clovis, New Mexico - and to then provide a venue that will allow the citizens of this area to make suggestions on ways to improve how things are done, and how we deal with the issues.

But, you really don't have to be from Clovis - to get involved with this endeavor. Maybe your community has already begun to deal with some of these issues, maybe there have been great successes - please, share them with us. What we are looking for is not complaints, we are looking for solutions - we are looking for ways to enhance the solutions that have been offered. Constructive criticism - not degrading or unproductive. For example - instead of telling someone that their ideas is stupid, offer suggestions that would make their solution work. You get the picture?

Significance - that is the keyword. The citizens of Clovis now have a way of making a significant difference to their community. The City of Clovis, now has a way to make a significant impact on the State of New Mexico and the rest of the world. This endeavor could literally be the model used to change the entire world - it's completely possible.
