Not sure whether this is the right category... I like to carry my MP3 player everywhere and I'm always stashing it in my pocket, and the cord gets tangled up. I found one earphone with a retractable cord (made to use iwth IPOD), but would like to find one that also has in-line volume control. Does anyone of one? If not, seems like a good opportunity...

Sounds like a good idea to me. Another similar application would be a cellphone with retractable headset cord. You could just carry the earpiece/microphone portion seperately and connect it to the retractable cord with a jack. It would be a little less convenient than the remote earpiece/microphones that people leave in place nowadays, but I'm assuming it would be safer because you don't have signals sent so close to your brain but traveling to the ear via an insulated wire.
