People are always saying that there are not enough things to do in Clovis? I've discovered something that I think would go over really well - it's called Disc Golf. Basically, there are 9 to 20 "holes" established and one uses a frisbee like disc to throw and hit the target. It's a good, clean, outdoors activity that could be played by the old and young - and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to participate.
I'm told that current Disc Golf courses use about 1 acre per "hole" - they are not really holes, they are metal rack like objects that catch the disc and secure it in place until it is retrieved. It seems to me, that maybe an area around Greene Acres lake could be used, maybe an area at Hillcrest Park - and, most definitely at Ned Houk Park.
Just go to Google.com and type in "Disc Golf" (include the parenthesis) and you can learn all about this unique sport.
