Need to warn if no title | |||||||||||||||||
Need to prevent user from entering idea without title. Example: http://whynot.net/view_idea.php?id=1707 1. This is probably a mistake2. This prevents other users from selecting it by the title – as the title have no meaning.3. There is no way for the user to fix it once the idea was submitted – so the idea remains with no title!!! This can be done by making the Title a mandatory field (at least in the preview step) Dekel Israeli

Submitters should be equally cautious about jots
I've fixed 1707. Meanwhile, I though authors could make edits to their submissions -- including changing the title
I assume the reason people should can’t change submitted idea or even it’s title is that it would make it harder for others to keep track.
Need to consider: Allow editing only the title Allow edit a submitted idea – if there were no references to it yet (no comments or votes) – otherwise – the references could be to issues that no longer exist in the idea’s text
I would rather see our messages archived and dated when we change them. That way there is some accountability related to what transpires. A bad idea that becomes a good idea with the help of others, shouldn't make the others look bad when the idea is changed in context to become a good idea.
