A sensor in baseball gloves to keep players from running into each other. After many years of playing/coaching (kids) and watching the game a collision between teammates has to be the most comical and tragic sights in all of sports. The results, least of which is an "error" and often a serious injury. Ideally an "electric fence" arrangement that you have for keeping a dog in the yard. A sensor in the glove or maybe something worn like a heart-rate monitor would emit a sound or vibration when you were in close proximity to either another player or the fence.

yes, but the players still might ignore it. What about an "I Called It" system: the glove buzzes when another player calls the ball and so nobody else runs for it.
An extending leash attached to the glove could stop the players, but this would be impractical as well.
