It kills me this recordus interruptus business. Just when I reach my destination in my car, the radio item I was listening to gets really interesting.

Do I:

Switch off and carry on?

Dally in my car?

Dash inside in a scramble to switch on the same program inside the building?

Aha.

I press the "BLUE BUTTON" and voila!, the car radio begins to record, on tape mp3 or whatever , the item I was listening to, ready for me to resume when I re-enter my car to continue driving.

Of course this feature would appeal only to those whose driving pattern lets them hear lots of unfinished programs, such as those with short journeys or frequent interruptions. Taximen also come to mind.

Aanyway=I'm sharing it FWIW maybe some car stereo outfit will cast it and market it eventually.

Read how to download audio feeds and put them on your mp3 player. Pick your audio and carry it on your belt. In your car and when you walk. Some mp3 players will also record FM, in case you prefer live audio.

I have sirius radio. It has a record button for this exact reason. When I go inside I can record up to two hours of audio!
