When I was a kid I hated getting a hair cut. I had to go the old guy who cut my dad's hair. Over the years I've seen plenty of little boys being drug in the barbershop by their mom or dad. Their parent holds them down in the chair and they kick and scream. I'm sure plenty of you have witnessed the same.
Why not open a chain of barbershops that specialize in cutting kids hair? The shop can be gymboree meets supercuts - a place where kids can play with toys, video games, have pizza etc and get their hair cut by barbers who are gentle with kids.

They've got one in Grand Rapids, MI. I forget the name of the chain, and the mall it's in.
In our mall, they have cartoon cuts. They have t.v screens infront of every chair, and you can even bring your own movie. they have gumball machines,you can get your ears pierced there,they have kid friendly magazines, and the place where you wash hair is under a elephants trunk that spurts out water. So nice idea, but they already have one.
In a Markham, Ontario, Canada Mall is one such shop where kids sit in "cars" and enjoy a great time. They cannot wait to go to the barber again.Not everything needs to be franchised, let some entrepreneurial person just do it and enjoy the rewards. It is that simple!Gordon Max
