Cliffs Notes have been around a long time to help those of us who are too 'busy' to read the full texts. For those of us too 'busy' to see the movie that's based on the book, I bring you "clips notes." Short film clips based on cliffs notes! Why do we limit ourselves to how we learn, if the end result is the same...

The name "clips notes" isn't important (although, I still found over 850 results with "clips notes"). The concept still remains, whatever you want to call it. It was just one of those ideas that came up during a conversation at work about laziness in education. Have never seen it executed before.

Question: Why would you want to see only parts of a movie? For that matter, why would you want to only get the gist of a book. Cliff notes seem to be useful, only because of the nature of our educational system - teaching to the test. Instead, imagine a world where it was important to get the gist, and the context and the full story :) So, I vote no for the Clip Notes. Got enough of that with mainstream media already :)

Thank you, Al, you got it! This idea is a reflection of the laziness we fall into. To answer your rhetorical (?) question: I saw the final product as more of a stand-up comedian acting out the scenes, making them more memorable. Not really actual clips, or scenes. Maybe 'clips notes' wasn't the best choice of a name, but that's what came up at the time. The sad fact is this would probably be successful if someone brought it out. I voted yes for the overall concept (I think it would work), but I'm changing my vote back to neutral after your comment! Then again, another way to look at something like this is that it would allow people to easily expand their knowledge in areas of interest beyond what their main focus is. Hmmm...maybe I'll keep my for vote...
