my electric tootbrush has a built-in timer that makes you brush for about 2 minutes and then it signals you that you are done. How about adding a small audio-recorder that would play a favorite tune for 2 minutes?Or perhaps you could pre-record a daily affirmation or agenda. This would encourage you to brush thoroughly by making the time less boring. The audio unit would be powered by a rechargeable battery which would be recharged along with the one that powers the toothbrush itself. This combines a micro-iPod with a electric toothbrush!

The audio unit could work off of the main battteries, the only thing being cost, to make a small player of some sort.

Have you considered using faraday-type mechanism that would power your battery as you bruch your teeth? While you are at it, how about filing a patent for your toothbrush?
