Isn't it kind of ridiculous that you have to spell out names with Alpha Bravo Foxtrot Romeo because voice quality is so poor?
Now that we have broadband connections, why not create a new generation of telephones to utilize them? Instead of attenuating the high-frequency repsonse so drastically, let's recognize that times have changed and that bandwidth is no longer such an issue. Let's have phones that sound like real voices. Imagine how much easier and more pleasant it would be to communicate if you could actually hear what someone was saying. The walkie-talkie sound should be an historical artifact by now.
