When your credit card is lost or stollen, it would be nice if credit card company automatically told your periodic payees about your new number.

Or if secutrity is a concern, the credit card company could at least tell you that here are the 12 payees that you should think about updating. The company should have a pretty good idea by looking at monthly bills especially those that stay constant.

Arround here, most major companies can accept a void chenck, and automatically withdraw from your account, regardless of your credit card number.
