Everytime I take my friends car to the beach to go surfing or just hang out I face the problem of what to do with the car key. I don't like leaving the key with the towel but I can't take it with me into the water since it has a remote. So I was thinking about something like a small waterproof box that can be attached to ankle or wrist. That way the key stays with me at all times. I know there are boxes with magnets on them to hide them somewhere on the car, but I'd be in plain sight hiding a key. That doesn't make sense to me. What do you think?

Try a zip-lock bag.

I use them for my wallet and other things when canoeing and have not had any failures yet. Use two if you don't trust one. They can be folded over and stuffed in pockets, no problem.

So what if I don't have any pockets. There is not much room in a bikini. Ziplocks work good during the winter. I can stuff them under my wetsuit.
