Character coaching for singles | |||||||||||||||||
Instead of teaching singles clever-minded dating strategies and give them advice on how to land a date, we should coach them to seek a life partner on the basis of character strength - this is still the most essential ingredient for long-term relationship success. We should also coach them how to look for character instead of superficial attributes. It does not take 500 dates to find love, but it may take 2000 if one look for quantity instead of quality.

There is something akin to this idea on the market already. It's a coaching system called First Impressions, in which you meet and chat with a person who later gives you a detailed report on how you came across, and makes suggestions on how to "tweak" your behavior to make a better impression on strangers. They also have a book called First Impressions, which I have found very useful. You can't evaluate a stranger's "character" until you get to know them a little bit, and this system makes that more likely to happen
