Design keys with LED in them, which light up when the key comes near the lock, so it becomes easier to find the key for the lock in the dark. The key would have a passive RFID tag, which will pair with the lock. The lock will have battery powered RFID reader, which will provide the power for the RFID tag on the key, and that RFID tag will light up the LED.Other option is to have passive RFID tag pair, one in key and one in lock, and a little module (like car remote) which matches these two and when it does, it lights the key (and may be even the lock) so it is easy to find where to insert the key.

Yes, I think this to be s good idea.
Sounds like you've thought it through all the way. Why don't you develop your idea?? It seems most suitable for a car-lock scenario, why not send the idea to a car manufacturer, they might buy it from you - unless they have already thought of it and haven't developed it yet themselves for some reason. It just seems like such an obviously good idea I can't believe its not already available as standard, especially on new car models.
