Paintball guns can be installed into cars to be used as a makeshift rating system. When someone cuts you off in traffic, you can shoot their car with a certain colored paintball. As cars get repeatedly beaned by people on the road, you eventually know better than to get too close to ugly painted vehicles on the road. In addition, if a car gets too tagged up, it can be a signal to police that the driver is reckless and inconsiderate, thereby influencing them when writing tickets or seeking out traffic offenders.
The system must be temporary (until you wash your car), and safe (paintballs must not cause permanent damage to vehicles or pedestrians).

No, Ebay feedback does not inflict physical damage, your paintball idea does, and leaves you liable for any costs in repair of the damages.

Gallagher suggested this idea (using dart guns shooting dart flags) about 30 years ago.
