This product would be a thin sheet of plastic, with small flat LEDs placed throughout. This sheet would be grafted onto the human skin in such a way as not to inhibit movement, usually around the hands and forehead and would activate when light became scare. The forehead light would be specifically designed to light the area in front of the wearer's face, for use as a flashlight or reading light, while the hand SkinLights would be ideally designed for manual labor in dark conditions, like working on a car in the middle of the night.

There would be a flesh colored activation button for the sheet. This button for the forehead would be located above the frontal or side hairlines, and the hand would have both an on or off light to prevent accidental activation or deactivation.

The power supply for the SkinLight would ideally by the Sanguidymanic Power Plant.

Make it wearable instead of grafted. If the lights are small enough we should be able to wear them with few problems.

The prime capability of a human is its universal adaptability. To distort this capability by encumbering it with all sorts of minor baggage is to approach the highly specialized physiology of insects which limits the animal to a small biological niche. No doubt it might be possible to turn fingers into screwdrivers and wrenches and foreheads into flashlights but it is more in conformity with the general capabilities of humans to pick up these instruments when they are required and discard them when other capabilities are needed or when superior instruments are conceived.The power source suggested in the linked site is extremely impractical, dangerous, and deleterious to normal body function.

I have a little headlamp-equivalent that clips to the bill of my cap. It's small and light: it uses five LEDs and two button batteries (large ones). I can turn on 1, 3, or 5 LEDs. It's about 1/2 inch thick and 2.5 inches wide. It suffices--no operation needed.
