Know how its hard to hold a cup of coffee/tea/milk, the small plate of cookies you want to dip into the cup and still have hands free to do the dipping, while standing in the middle of a room with no convenient cocktail table upon which to rest either implements?

why not a stem that forks into a cup on one side and a small plate on the other - or some variation of such? Could hold the upright cup, rest cookie on plate extension, dip, eat and stand in middle of floor.
