"Weather-proof" Chairs | |||||||||||||||||
Here's an idea by "finorgan" of idea-a-day.com: Why not design public benches [and regular outdoor chairs] in such a way so that wet/snowy/icy seats can be turned over for a dry, clean surface to be sat on?

Why not?
Because the first time the latch failed and Autie Shrew got doubled up the lawsuit would bankrupt the city?
Because the local vandals would twist a bench with movable parts into unrecognizable sculptures?
Because after the first flip the next guy gets a bench seat that still has bird droppings on it that the rain would have washed off had that surface been facing up?
