Description field for email | |||||||||||||||||
Add a "description" field where I can type a description that will display next to my email and other files. Example: when I go into Outlook to sort through old messages, I would be able to read in the description field "final 2005 budget numbers" rather that having to try to guess what this Subject Line means "FW: RE: RE: budget"

Or you could program the in-box not to display "re:" and "fw:" in subject lines.
I think you should be able to add "labels" just like in Gmail . Just a textbox where you type in keywords separated by spaces. Then when you search in X1 fashion instead of searching the email contents themselves it should just search through the labels. The labels should be exportable and the same label could be able to be used for a file or folder also. So you could theoretically have three files in three different directories and two emails with the same label and the OS should be able to find them all.
I have to admit, my effort to teach people how to make good subjects is not going so well.
