The House Contraceptive | |||||||||||||||||
New Idea: The House Contraceptive Each year throughout the United States and the world, societies face natural disasters that destroy property and ruin lives. My new product is a removable fabric “condom” for your house. This product could be sold directly to the home owner or marketed through insurance companies that are able to reduce claims through it’s preventive application. For flooding:In practice, this product is pre-constructed to be available for quick deployment by either the homeowner or a service company paid for deploying. Before installation, a flexible, PVC, split channel, is installed just below ground around the perimeter of the house.(with periodic anchors) This channel accepts a spline that is inserted as the precut fabric is pressed into the channel. Coverable bollard receivers are installed strategically in the yard to shed floating debris and direct flow. The precut.08ml woven poly fabric is inserted with the spline and sealed with overlapping adhesive strips as the occupants of the house are evacuated. A battery powered evacuation fan is installed and applies constant negative pressure to keep the membrane snug to the house. The weight of the water and silt will keep the membrane anchored. Fire protection:The same concept could be applied for homes in high risk fire areas. Each membrane is flame-retardant treated Viscose. Water pumped from properly a sized water reservoir could protect the house with a forced capillary action blanket. A constantly damp towel turning the applied heat to steam.

This is a really good idea. Many houses here in the UK suffer from regular flooding and I've been toying with a collar-type device that the homeowner would wrap around the base of the house when there is a flood warning. Your idea is so much better and cheaper and more easily applied.You really need to develop and market this in the UK and in the ever-increasing flood areas in the world.
