Cellphone signal loss | |||||||||||||||||
Cellphones lose their signal from time to time. Cars should be equipped with cellphone antenna's units that assist with the transmission of the cell signal. With so many cars on the road today, signal loss will be minimal. The unit will be powered by the car battery or some other source of power such as solar. I personally think this will happen it's just the progress of time and money. The date is 10/26/03 lets see how long it takes for it to happen. LanceA Student of life

Using more power is not necessarily a good solution. Cellphone systems are designed to limit the transmission distance so that more simultaneous calls can be handled. More powerful phones would reduce overall availability. Many cellphones now have jack to accomodate an external antenna. If you install an external antenna on your car and plug it into your cellphone, you'll get better reception. Most people don't because it's too much trouble.
