What if, as you sit down to have your first cup of morning coffee or tea; you no longer had to worry about your beverage being “too hot” or “too cold.” The anxiety associated with the potential of drinking either liquid fire or ice is eliminated. You are always assured that every cup of coffee or tea that you drink from your thermos is the temperature you want it to be. I suggest that someone create a battery operated thermos to do two things: (1) allow you to enter the degree to which you want your coffee and (2) provide you with the opportunity to heat the beverage up and /or cool the beverage down as needed. In addition, in lieu of the normal and rather painful “trial and error” associated with your first sip every morning, the color of the thermos would now tell you when your beverage is “safe” to drink. Red would indicate “too hot”, blue would signify “too cool” and green would be “perfect.” From an individual who, on several occasions, has lost the ability to taste due to an unsuccessful first sip “trial”, this product would be ideal.

might be better to have a numeric display for the temperature on the thermos as colour blind people would not understand the display and have to taste the beveridge which is the same problem that the device is trying to solve.
