THE ASTHMA WATCHThe asthma watch is just a combination of two already used technologies. I am proposing integration between the two technologies (ie. Where else would it work?).

Asthma is the 6th leading cause for death in kids ages 5-14. I am proposing the “Asthma watch”. Take for example a young child running on a soccer field with all of her friends and she is having so much fun she just runs and runs. Many young children play hard and don’t want to stop because they are having so much fun they may not recognize the signs for asthma.

Take a digital watch and combine it with a pulse oximeter. The watch pulse oximeter will monitor the percentage of hemoglobin that is saturated with oxygen in the human body. (Although currently the pulse oximeters are only used on the tips of the finger or the ear lobe.) The oximeter will detect hypoxia (lack of Oxygen) in the body and emit an audible sound. Because we want to ensure the children get immediate assistance, the watch will signal another watch (the parents or teachers watch) and send an alarm to notify them that their children need assistance

Great idea. But liability issues will probably kill this idea. Either that or make it too pricy for the average kid with asthma to own. I hope I'm wrong.

I think I have a better Idea Why not just make an inhaler Within a watch for the quicke'st use possable the hemoglobin monitor would be killed by mothers like"I dont want my little richard getting stabbed by his watch blah blah blah"
