Workers handling, remediating hazardous waste must wear proper PPE. For the more extreme cases, Levels A and B, the use of a tyvek suit is required. During summer months, heat stress is a major concern, as the tyvek is not "breathable" material. Hence, production times are short, as workers must take regular and frequent breaks. Why not create a tyvek suit that incorportes something similar to the personal cooling system made by sharper image. The lightweight, battery operated systems could be built into the neck and waist areas to ensure cooler working conditions and better worker production.
