Sometimes the clothes on the rack don't look quite as good as when they are on and a lot of people actually *don't* like salespeople helping them find those "gems".

My suggestion is to have a small placard with models (ranging in 4 or 5 sizes) to show how the article of clothing "might" fit and potentially *different* ways to wear the item.

This might be better for upscale clothing stores that can afford to show each of their items in this way.
