progammable sunrise lights | |||||||||||||||||
Wouldn't it be great if somebody invented a way to program the lights in the bedroom to gradually increase intensity over a period of time in order to simulate a sunrise. It seems this would be a calmer way of waking up than sudden bright lights. To extend the idea a little, an alarm could be attached to the program so that when full intensity was reached the alarm went off. The technology for this idea exists. Do you think anyone else would buy it?

I just seen a feature on a clock that does just that.
I don't think that it would work well with Fluorescent lights, since they don't dim very well. LEDs would probably work well though. The problem would be hooking up the light to the control system -- but we could probably make something that's no bigger than a regular light switch box.
