Why Powerpoint? Be nonlinear | |||||||||||||||||
The biggest problem with Powerpoint is that the presentation becomes noninteractive. If the presentation looked like a gameboard (Monopoly), you could just pull in a picture to the middle for viewing, you could also pull a film or just draw something, think of the middle as a stage, and the boarder as a set of miniatures. This would be a great software tool, especially when you use a computer with a "pen"

This sounds like a good idea.
For the time being, I think that there are non-linear presentation systems. For example, HTML can be used for presentations, then you scroll down the screen and use hypertext links when appropriate. You can even stick frames and javascript in the presentation.
Im glad you like it, what I mean is that we need a software like powerpoint wher you can draw, pull in film etc on the blank space in the middle. It has to be userfriendly.I also thinkk it would be great if a presentation could be saved and handed over to the person/s you met.
Why not use n-powered then?

Sounds good, this is what I like about this site, there is always someone out there that knows a solution.Looked into this very slow site, flsh is loadiing for music and stuff, but it seemes to be a very "secret" software, you don't get to see annything what it looks like. Can it be used with MAC for instance?I will probably find out...
npowered is officially launched... go to http://www.ntara.com/npowered/
I believe my tech ed teacher used this arguement a number of years ago to introduce "HyperCards" to us.
My biggest problem with PowerPoint is that it is largely non-interactive. You can do all sorts of things to make it interactive, but it is difficult to implement.
