A vote here for the members of the Clovis City Commission to set aside precinct politics and behind the scenes maneuvering to just do the right thing in proaction for the town. For instance, WHY do we need THREE separate events centerS for Curry County, the city of Clovis AND the private concern of Expo Inc.? WHY can't the governments come together and make ONE events center for the good of ALL? What is the PRIDE and EGO that is going on here masking as something else? Just do the right thing, folks! One events center would be just fine!

By only having one events center, the monies saved by the local governments could be used where it most needed. Budgets are tight in both the city and county. Let's use fiscal responsibility and consolidate ideas and funding.
For the most part the events center will generate a lot of money for the business in Clovis. Why then are the taxpayers of Clovis footing the bill? I believe the events center should be paid for through private donation. Let the business of Clovis step up.
